Many of us are finding that we are feeling stressed, fearful, angry and confused. Studying mindfulness and developing a regular mindfulness practice can greatly enhance our ability to connect with our inner, intuitive guidance system, creating more ease, clarity and confidence. This practice involves not only a formal sitting practice but bringing mindfulness into our daily lives.
There is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course that is available to you free of charge at https://palousemindfulness.com. This is an 8 week course based on the course that was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
We will be meeting weekly as a small group through an online video platform to discuss the material, answer questions, and practice together. The group setting can provide accountability for following through with the practice, and the support and fellowship of a community. The group will meet for 8 weeks on Sundays from 10:00-11:30 am beginning October 11. Each 1.5 hour group session will be followed immediately by a 30 minute group meditation practice that you are welcome to join or not based on your preference. I will be adding my own material from my own experiences with mindfulness, meditation and numerous meditation trainings over many years with many teachers. The group will be limited to 10 people. The investment for this experience is $40 per session, or $320, whether you attend all sessions or not. There will be one makeup session at the end of the course with no additional investment. The group will meet for 12 weeks on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm beginning October 13. Each 1.5 hour group session will be followed immediately by a 30 minute group meditation practice that you are welcome to join or not based on your preference. I will be adding my own material from numerous sources from my own experiences and trainings over many years with many teachers. The group will be limited to 10 people. The investment for this experience is $40 per session, or $480, whether you attend all sessions or not. There will be one makeup session at the end of the course with no additional investment.
